Test Your Quranic Knowledge

$7.95

Quran, the final testament, orders us to read and study God's message. Ilm (Knowledge) and Hikma (Wisdom) are the names used frequently for the Quran. Wisdom and knowledge are the most important gifts from God. So, whoever attains wisdom has attained a great bounty (2:269). ------------------------- Believers are encouraged to seek knowledge. But this does not mean that all the believers are knowledgeable. There are many colors between red and purple. Since the believers need experts and knowledgeable people (3:7; 4:83), they have to educate some believers on about God's system (9:122). The importance of knowledge has been stressed many times in Quran (35:28; 39:9). Ignorance gives birth to fanaticism, jealousy, and arrogance and eventually leading to idolatry. ------------------------- There is more than one reason for preparing this test: * You may check the level of your Quranic knowledge. * You may acquire new knowledge or modify some. * You may learn to study more attentively. * You may enjoy the Quranic studies more than before. * You may improve your skills in how to read between the lines, how to infer information, and how to draw conclusions from the verses of Quran. ------------------------- How to evaluate your test?------------------------- For each question there are four answers. You have to choose the best answer and mark it for each question. For each test (20 questions) you have maximum 20 minutes. At the end of the booklet you will find the answer key for all the tests. After each test, count the number of the correct answers and multiply them by five. The result will give your score over a hundred. For example, if your correct answers in the first test are 17, your score is 17x5 = 85. To calculate your average score, you should add all the scores you got from all the tests, and then divide the sum by the number of tests you have taken.------------------------- After finishing the first 5 (FIVE) tests, if you wish to get detailed information about your knowledge of the Quran in various fields, you may apply the following rules:------------------------- To score your general knowledge about the Quran: Count the number of your correct answers from 1 to 6 inclusively in each test, and then multiply the total by 3.3. For instance, if your total correct answers for the questions between 1 and 6 (included) are 25; your score over a hundred is 25x3.3 = 82.5------------------------- To score your knowledge about the Quranic history: Count the number of your correct answers from 7 to 10 inclusively in each test, and then multiply the total by 5. For instance, if your total correct answers for the questions between 7 and 10 (both included) are 18; your score over a hundred is 18x5 = 90.------------------------- To score your knowledge about the mathematical miracle: Count the number of your correct answers from 11 to 12 inclusively in each test, and then multiply the total by 10. For instance, if your total correct answers for the questions between 11 and 12 (both included) are 8; your score over a hundred is 8x10=80. ------------------------- To score your critical reading and understanding level of the Quran: Count the number of your correct answers from 13 to 20 inclusively in each test, and then multiply the total by 2.5. For instance, if your total correct answers for the questions between 13 and 20 (both included) are 38; your score is 38x2.5 = 95. ------------------------- PS: For the translations of the verses, Quran: a Reformist Translation is used.
